Tommy H. Collins 1921 - 2011
Tommy H. Collins, 89, of Lake Montezuma, passed away on Feb. 20, 2011, in Cottonwood. He was born on Aug. 28, 1921, in Hulbert, Okla., to Howard and Katherine Collins.
Tommy served as a Sergeant in WWII. He was a retired farmer and was a lifetime member of the NRA, Pioneer Hunting and Fishing and the American Legion. He attended Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed carving wildlife.
He will be missed by all of us.
Tommy is preceded in death by his wife Edna L. Collins and two sons, Tommy W. and Eddie L. Collins. He is survived by sons Dennis R. Collins (Nancy) of Camp Verde and Jimmy H. Collins (Julie) of Gilbert, AZ; daughters Patty F. Newton (Don) of Lake Montezuma and Cathy A. Hopkins (Chris) of Sand Springs, OK; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at noon at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Apache Trail, Mesa, Arizona.
