The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, March 09, 2011 Dolores Barreras, 85, passed away Feb. 5 in Crescent City, Calif. Dolores was born in Clemenceau, Ariz., on Feb. 28, 1925 to Rafael Marquez and Bessie Pellejero-Marquez. She and her husband James Barreras owned and operated Jim’s Market in Aguila for 30 years. She is survived by her daughter Mari Barreras-Tardiff, her husband Peter, grandsons Stephen and Kevin and granddaughter-in-law Tara Tardiff, her sister Irene Mercado and brother Alex Marquez. She was preceded in death by her husband James Barreras and her brother Gilbert Cruz. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crescent City, Calif. James and Dolores’s ashes will be laid to rest at Wickenburg’s St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in the fall.
