Sean Orly Obannon of Phoenix, and formerly of Wickenburg, died November 2 in Paradise Valley. He was 62.
Mr. Obannon was born January 18, 1932 in Ireland. He had lived in Arizona for the past 14 years, moving from Texas.
Mr. Obannon was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He also serviced as a mercenary in Africa. Mr. Obannon flew bush planes in Alaska. He also had a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and enjoyed mining in the Superstition Mountains. He enjoyed hunting and hiking in the White Mountains as well.
Survivors include his close friend Patricia Cochran of Wickenburg; two brothers; two step-brothers; two step-sisters; and 13 children. (Note: this is what paper said, but should it be grandchildren?)
Services are pending. Contributions in Mr. Obannon’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg was in charge of all arrangements.
