Lester J. Crowser, 67, of Aguila died November 14 in Veterans Affair Medical Center in Phoenix.
Mr. Crowser was born May 10, 1927 in Rapid City, South Dakota. He had lived in Aguila since 1986.
Mr. Crowser and his wife, Florence, who survives him, owned and operated the Buy & Sell store in Aguila.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He received 11 Victory Medals and the Army of Occupation Medal. Mr. Crowser was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was also a member of American Legion Post No. 12 in Wickenburg. Mr. Crowser’s hobbies included fishing and hunting.
In addition to his wife, Florence, he is survived by three sons, Daniel of Marysville, California, Charles of Haleiwa, Hawaii and James of Prescott Valley; a daughter, Linda Turpin of Grand Junction, Colorado; a brother, Chester of Arrey, New Mexico; four sisters, Helen Rost of Creswell, Oregon and Darlene Larson, Donna Reinmuth and Doris Ingraham, all of Cheyenne, Wyoming; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
