Clarence E. “Swede” Larson
Swede passed away on March 6, 2011, at the Prescott VA Medical Center. Swede was born in Drayton, N.D., on Sept. 26, 1931, to Thorwald and Julia Larson, both deceased.
Swede is a former resident of Rialto, Calif., and past Exalted Ruler with the Fontana Elks. Swede proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1965 when he was honorably discharged.
Swede is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Betty Jean; his brothers, Lew of Texas and David of Arizona; his sisters, Judy Lindsey and Karen Coleman both of California; his sons, Paul (LuCinda) and Tom (Velva), both of California, and Tracy; his daughters, Cathy (Ron) and Lori all of Arizona; 10 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the staff of the VA Medical Center-CLC and the Hospice Unit for their constant professional care and support through this long journey.
