The Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona - Published on March 9, 2011 - Benjamin William Scott, born Nov. 24, 1933, in Visalia, Calif., to Bernard Scott and Marguerite Cox Scott, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, peacefully at home. Ben worked at Atascadero State Hospital as program director for 36 years and resided in the Templeton and Paso Robles, Calif., area. He retired and moved to Golden Valley in 2000. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Barnard; mother, Marguerite Jordan; brother, Barney; daughter, Michelle Bloch; and stepdaughter, Rebecca Cloer. Ben is survived by his wife of 48 years, Blanche Scott of Golden Valley; daughter, Valerie (Mike) Coulter of Golden Valley; stepdaughters, Trinka (Mike) Reynolds and Patricia Cloer, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
