The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 4, 1995, p. 2 Ivan Lloyd Essing of Wickenburg, died December 29 in Sun City West. He was 70. Mr. Essing was born January 15, 1924 in Zealand, Michigan. He had lived in Arizona for the past 34 years, moving here from Michigan. Mr. Essing was a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing with his family. Mr. Essing and his wife, Helen, who survives him moved to Wickenburg eight years ago from Prescott. In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Courtney of Tooele, Utah; sons Darryl of Washington state and Kevin of Wickenburg; sister Jeanette Barendse of Holland, Michigan; brother Harold “Judd” of Zealand, Michigan; grandchildren Felicia, Sarah and Jessica Essing of El Paso, Texas, Nathan and Eric Essing of Washington state, and Amy Courtney of Tooele, Utah; and great-grandson Steven Essing of Reno, Nevada. Private family services will be conducted Friday, January 6 at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation service of Wickenburg was in charge of all arrangements.
