SASSO, Anthony T. (Tony)


Anthony T. "Tony" Sasso, Tony touched many lives with his outgoing personality, wit and gentle nature. He had a love for people. Tony passed away from a stoke Dec. 12, 2003 while visiting for the holidays with his daughters and their families in Northern California. Tony was born February 10, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York. In 1962 he and his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona were he owned and operated small businesses for 25 years. He was a member of the Italian AMICO Club and a parishioner of St. Simon and Jude Cathedral. He is survived by his daughter Marianne Sasso-Caruth and her husband Dan Caruth of Alamo, CA, daughter Suzanne Moffett and her husband Russ Moffett of Milpitas, CA, grandchildren Joshuah and Katee Moffett. He is also survived by brothers Frank Sasso, Denver, CO, Nick Sasso, Lander,WY, Guy Sasso and his wife Barbara Sasso of Phoenix and sister Amy Duggan and her husband Edward also of Phoenix. A memorial service celebrating Tony's Life was held Saturday February 21, 2004 at St. Simon and Jude Cathedral Phoenix, AZ. Tony's final resting place will be along side his wife Marie in St. Mary's Cemetery located in Ryebrook, NY. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/18/2004.
