Harold L. Holden of Wickenburg, died January 10 in Wickenburg. He was 83.
Mr. Holden was born January 8, 1911 in Howard City, Michigan. He had lived in Arizona for 47 years, coming from Michigan.
Mr. Holden was a veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army.
He was the owner of a retail auto supply store. He sold the store and retired in 1976. Mr. Holden joined the Wickenburg Rotary Club in 1970 and served as secretary-treasurer for seven years. In 1985 he was named Rotarian of the Year, and was a sustaining member of the Paul Harris Rotary Foundation.
Mr. Holden was an award-winning printer, both in black and white and color photography. He was a longtime member of the Wickenburg Camera Club, holding offices many times. He was also an Associate of the Arizona Camera Club Council in 1982. In 1986 he was a Fellow of the Arizona Camera Club Council. Mr. Holden was also a member of the Valley Print Maker Club and Center for Creative Photography, for five years.
Mr. Holden is survived by his wife of 61 years, Harriett of Wickenburg; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Manuel Martinez of Phoenix; and grandchildren Aaron Warsinski of Peoria and Heather Martinez of Phoenix.
Services were Monday, January 16 at Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Fr. Dan Gerrard officiated.
Private family burial and services were Tuesday, January 17, at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wickenburg was in charge of all arrangements.
