The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 18, 1995, p. 2 Kathleen Jean Austin of Phoenix died January 14 in Phoenix. She was 41. Mrs. Austin was born October 23, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas. She had lived in Arizona for the past year, coming from Colorado. Mrs. Austin was a horse trainer at Turf Paradise race track in Phoenix. She enjoyed riding with many friends she had in and around the Wickenburg area. She also enjoyed working with leather. Survivors include her husband, Charles Austin of Phoenix; daughter Kayla Bewley of Colorado; brothers Robert D. Bewley of San Tia Park, New Mexico, Timothy Lee Bewley of Wickenburg, and Dennis Brown of Topeka, Kansas; sister Marilynn K. Johnson of Wadsworth, Texas; and parents Mary Ann Bewley of Kansas and Troy Bewley of New Mexico. Funeral Services for Mrs. Austin will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Turf Paradise, 1501 W. Bell Road in Phoenix. Pastor Ken Swenson will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Austin’s name to a charity of one’s choice. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wickenburg handled all local arrangements.
