MATHIS, Walter (Pete) Ray

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 8, 1995, p. 3 Walter “Pete” Ray Mathis of Wickenburg died March 1 in Wickenburg. He was 81. Mr. Mathis was born June 29, 1913 in Frost, Texas. He had lived in Arizona for the past 41 years. Mr. Mathis was a retired gold miner. Survivors include his wife, Agnes Mathis; daughters Jean Mason and Doris Smith; sons James, Tracy and Keith Mathis; sister Lucille Bolden of Bellmead, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Private graveside services were conducted Friday, March 3 at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Pastor Mike Abdollahzadeh officiated. Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all arrangements.
