Mary Evelyn Klein, 93, passed away in Lake Havasu City, March 10, 2011. She was born Jan. 3, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo., to Arthur and Lulu Edna Weaver.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin A. Klein, in 1967. Mary moved to Lake Havasu City five years ago to be near her daughter, Judy. Prior to moving, she lived in Anaheim, Calif., and other various surrounding cities for 72 years. When Mary was raising her children, she was active in PTA and different school activities until she started to work. Mary went to work for the North American Rockwell Co., Feb. 02, 1959, and retired in 1991 after 32 years at the age of 72, at the time it was Rockwell International. Mary enjoyed every day of work. She met Tom Hickman while working there and they became friends and were together for 34 years. She loved flowers, trees and gardening. Most of all, Mary loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who were all so special to her. She will be deeply missed and always loved.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Judy (Nate) DeLaquil, of Lake Havasu City; grandsons, Jack (Emily) DeLaquil and Jeff (Jennifer) DeLaquil; great-grandsons, Brent and Jake DeLaquil; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her first child, Arthur Klein; son, John Klein; husband, Alvin A. Klein; brothers, Joe, Billy and Forest Weaver; sister, Hazel Ballard; and significant other, Tom Hickman.
