Elma L. Jenson of Wickenburg died March 28 in Wickenburg. She was 76. Mrs. Jenson was born August 6, 1918 in Kidder County, North Dakota. She had lived in Arizona for the past 11 years.
Mrs. Jenson was born and raised in North Dakota. She met and later married Donald Jenson on December 9, 1943. The couple shared 51 years of marriage together, raising their family and enjoying one another.
Mrs. Jenson was a great lover of birds. She raised finches and parakeets for a time and also enjoyed working in a small furniture repair shop she owned. Once the Jenson’s moved to Wickenburg in 1983, Mrs. Jenson’s love for birds continued. She was fascinated with hummingbirds and liked feeding them and having them around. She also enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Jenson was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Wickenburg.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jenson is survived by daughters Sharon Graham of Great Falls, Montana, Shirley Dugan of Missoula, Montana, Barbara Larson of Carrington, North Dakota and Cindi Jenson of Wickenburg; son Larry Jenson of Waterford City, North Dakota; five sisters; two brothers; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Dwight Jenson, preceded her in death.
Memorial services were Saturday, April 1 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ed Wessling officiated.
