The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 5, 1995, p.2 James M. Moore of Aguila died April 3 in Aguila. He was 75. Mr. Moore was born April 2, 1920 in Bakersfield, California. He had lived in Arizona for the past 24 years. Mr. Moore was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, servicing as a second lieutenant. He was a member of American Legion Kellis Draper Post No. 12 in Wickenburg and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Moore worked as a paper hanger, prospector and miner. He was interested in geology and studied mineralogy. He also studied and enjoyed music. He enjoyed going in to the desert prospecting and bird watching. Survivors include his wife of 18 years. Sandra, of Aguila; son and daughter-in-law Joe Dell Moore and Kim of Cornville; sister Geneva Tremmling of Santa Maria, California; brother and sister-in-law Vernon Moore and Bernice of Kingman; sister-in-law Jean Speer of Flagstaff; grandchildren Amy, Chris, Joseph and Craig; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday (April 7) at the Aguila Cemetery. Chaplain Neal Garman of the Wickenburg American Legion Post will officiate. Special services will be provided by the Legion and Post No. 12 Commander Don McAtee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in Phoenix. All arrangements were by Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wickenburg.
