The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 12, 1995, p. 2 Russell A. Boshart of Yarnell and Waddell, died April 5 in Wickenburg. He was 61. Mr. Boshart was born May 2, 1933 in Henry County, Iowa. He had lived in Arizona for the past 36 years, coming here from Iowa. Mr. Boshart was a psychologist with the Roosevelt School District for more than 20 years. He retired with the rank of major in the U.S. Air Force after 24 years of service. At one point, he was stationed in Japan for two years and was recalled for the Berlin Wall. He also was stationed at Luke Air Force Base, flying with various units. Mr. Boshart was a member of the American Legion, the California Rare Fruit Growers Associations, and various other fruit and agricultural organizations. He had one of the largest collections of date palms in the Southwest. Mr. Boshart enjoyed electronics and photography, and was very handy around the house. He and his wife spent their summers at their cottage in Yarnell. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Marion, of Waddell; daughter Melissa Boshart of Seal Beach, California; son Bradley Boshart of Denver, Colorado; sister Lois Sheldon of Washington, Iowa; brother Claude Goldsmith of Washington, Iowa; grandchildren Dylan of Denver, and Page of Phoenix; and mother Marjorie Goldsmith Boshart of Iowa City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Menno Boshart. Services will be at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 12) at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. Bob Nenley will officiate, with special services provided by the Luke AFB Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart association, Arizona Affiliate, P. O. Box 7038, Phoenix, AZ 85011. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wickenburg was in charge of all arrangements.
