George T. Hawkins, Jr. of Date Creek, died May 8 in Prescott. He was 63. Mr. Hawkins was born March 25, 1932 in Phoenix. He was a lifelong resident of Arizona.
Mr. Hawkins was a cattle rancher and farmer. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Hawkins enjoyed roping and gardening. He was a member of the Wickenburg Roping club, the Yavapai Cattle Growers Association, the Chino Valley Sheriff’s Posse and the Arizona Cowpunchers Reunion Association.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia; four daughters, Cindy, Susan, Beki and Nancy; his parents, George and Martha Hawkins of Wickenburg; a brother, Don Hawkins of Hillside; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11 at the Congress Cemetery. Pastor Galen Neshem will officiate. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wickenburg.
