The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 17, 1995, p. 3 John Merlyn Carfield of Sun City West died May 14 in Wickenburg. He was 49. Mr. Carfield was born November 18, 1946 in Key West, Florida. He had lived in Arizona for the past five years, coming from Florida. Mr. Carfield had numerous friends in the Wickenburg area, having lived in the community for a short time. Mr. Carfield was the owner of Carfield’s Concrete Coatings in Lake Havasu City. During the majority of his life, he worked as a steel worker and building inspector. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and dancing. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Krystal Carfield of Florida; daughter Cindy Carfield of Denver; son Shane Carfield of Wildwood, Florida; mother Helen Carfield of Sun City West; brothers Ron Carfield of Grand Junction, Colorado and Randy Carfield of Laughlin, Nevada; and many friends in the Wickenburg area, Services will be held Friday (May 19) at St. John’s Catholic Church in Denver. Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice or a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wickenburg was in charge of all arrangements.
