George Trowbridge of Congress died May 15 at the Veterans Administration Regional Hospital in Prescott. He was 82.
Mr. Trowbridge was born September 4, 1912 in Spokane, Washington. He had lived in Arizona for the past 40 years.
Mr. Trowbridge moved to Arizona in 1955 after retiring as a teamster who drove for United Truck Lines. He settled in Congress, where for more than 40 years he owned and operated a mechanical repair shop and also worked construction with the Hershkowitz Brothers, known as “Lug and Tug Construction Co.” Most recently, he was the school bus driver for Congress Elementary School and the Wickenburg School District.
Survivors include his wife Alma of Congress; brother, Charles Trowbridge of Spokane.
Private services were conducted at Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home. Disposition will be at a later date at Fairmont Memorial Park in Spokane.
Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
