SMITH, Lena Marie

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 24, 1995, p. 3 Lena Marie Smith of Wickenburg, died May 16 in Wickenburg. She was 84. Ms. Smith was born October 4, 1910 in Liberal, Kansas. She had lived in Arizona for the past 15 years. Ms. Smith grew up in Kansas and later lived in Colorado, where she earned her secretarial training degree at Barnes Business College. She also received a piano certificate from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She was also proficient on the flute. Ms. Smith came to Wickenburg in 1980 after retiring from her position as secretary of Glendale Presbyterian Church in California. All who knew her loved her sparkling sense of humor, sturdy acceptance of her health problems, and her solid convictions and faith in God. Survivors include her sister, Dorothy M. Boyd of Wickenburg, and a younger brother, Paul H. Smith of Massachusetts. An older brother, Lawrence, preceded her in death. Private disposition will be conducted at a later date. Brown’s Wickenburg funeral Home handled all arrangements.
