Margarito Villarreal of San Antonio, Texas and a winter visitor to the Wickenburg area for many years, died may 18 in Wickenburg. He was 85. Mr. Villarreal was born March 13, 1910 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Villarreal worked for Sears for more than 30 years as a salesman. He and his wife, Beatrice enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling the southwest. The couple spent much time in Phoenix and Wickenburg following their retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Calvillo Villarreal of San Antonio; daughters and sons-in-law Maria Teresa and Reynoldo Rodriguez, Zulema and Ernesto Longoria, and Elodia and Homero Jimenez, all of Laredo, and Graciela and Richard Pesek of Houston; daughter Rosalinda Villarreal of Laredo; sons and daughters-in-law Jose Margarito and Cora Villarreal Sr., Ruben and Esther Villarreal and Jose Arturo and Margie Villarreal, all of Laredo, and Alberto and Toni Villarreal of Phoenix; 25 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Villarreal was preceded in death by his first wife, Zulema Villarreal, and a daughter, Veronica Noyola.
Services and burial have been a held in Laredo, Texas.
