Joseph H. Johnson of Wickenburg, died June 3 at his home in Wickenburg. He was 74. Mr. Johnson was born April 5, 1921 in Laveen. He was a lifelong resident of Arizona.
Mr. Johnson was a longtime and well know businessman in Wickenburg. He was the owner and operator of Wickenburg Lumber for more than 20 years, from 1970-1991.
He was a charter member of Wickenburg Elks Lodge No. 2160; a member of the Wickenburg Masonic Lodge; Wickenburg Shriners Club; and a charter member of the Wickenburg Lions club.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Louella, of Wickenburg. The couple observed their 50th wedding anniversary on April 1. Additional survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Bill and Linda Johnson; daughter and son-in-law Iva and Armando Noriega; daughter and son-in-law Susie and Mike Kensinger; daughter and son-in-law Gogi and Randy Gay;
10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8:30-9:30a.m. today (Wednesday), June 7 at the LDS Church in Wickenburg. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Bishop Max Colgrove will officiate. Burial will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital, Intermountain Unit, Fairfax Road at Virginia Street, Salt Lake city, Utah 84103-4399.
Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
