The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 14, 1995, p. 2 Lorenz Thomas “Larry” Thomsen of Wickenburg died June 8 in Wickenburg. He was 81. Mr. Thomsen was born April 30, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois. He had lived in Arizona for the past four years, coming here from Georgia. Mr. Thomsen spent the majority of his life working as a cook and chef in Illinois and Florida. He was also a connoisseur of coffee, experimenting with many different varieties and flavors. On his retirement, he relocated to Wickenburg to be near his extended family of Betty and Robert Springstead. Survivors include daughters Laura Oversole and Loretta Koenig, both of Everett, Washington; sister-in-law Helen Thomsen of Western Springs, Illinois; niece Margo; and extended family Betty and Robert Springstead of Circle City. At Mr. Thomsen’s request, services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wickenburg was in charge of all arrangements.
