ELLIS, Mary

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Saturday, March 19, 2011 Mary Ellis, of Flagstaff, died March 13, 2011. She was born July 17, 1947, in Monroeville, Ala. Mrs. Ellis accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She attended Escambia Training High School in Atmore, Ala. Years later in life, she married John P. Wiggins Sr. They moved to Cleveland in 1968 and later divorced in 1982. She married Ray Ellis on July 17, 1990. Shortly after, she relocated to Flagstaff. She is survived by husband Ray Ellis of Flagstaff; daughters Deborah Wiggins of Cleveland and Linda Wiggins of Atmore; brothers Charlie (Peggie) Etheridge, Robert Etheridge and Tommie (Sheryl) Etheridge of Cleveland, and William (Jamie) Etheridge of Cincinnati; sisters Willie Mae Thomas and Emma (Frank) Wilson of Cleveland, and Annie Mae (Harold) Brazzell and Louise Etheridge of Atmore; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Kelly Ellis of Cleveland; and her special, devoted friend, Vera Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bettie and Alex Etheridge; two sisters, Dora Marshall and Bettie Etheridge; brother Phelix Etheridge; son De'Ante Wiggins; and one grandson. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
