The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Saturday, March 19, 2011 Isabelle Torrence (1925 - 2011) Isabelle Torrence of Cottonwood died March 17, 2011. She was born March 18, 1925, in Benton Harbor, Mich., the daughter of John and Elizabeth Raeside. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan and her Masters Degree from Michigan State University. Mrs. Torrence was a retired teacher and school social worker. She was of the Methodist faith. Her interests included hiking, camping, canoeing and reading. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Leonard Torrence; a daughter Elizabeth (Anthony Silva) of South Dakota; a sister Juanita (Ray) of Ohio; and two grandchildren. A brother Donald (Esther) of Washington preceded her in death. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
