Jack Lee Silvernale, 79, born Oct. 3, 1931, in Evart, Mich., died March 17, 2011, in Prescott, Ariz.

Jack L. Silvernale was called to Heaven on Thursday, March 17, 2011, in the afternoon.
Jack had been in for surgery and suffered a heart attack from which he did not recover. Everything possible was done for him but his body was not capable of recovery.
Jack was born in Everett, Mich. on Oct. 3, 1931. The son of Joseph and Alice Silvernale, he was a true entrepreneur. He moved his family to Prescott in 1974 at the age of 43 to semi-retire in the real estate business. He purchased the Cattleman's bar and then bought the Prescott Whipple Stage (the Citibus) to keep transportation for the seniors going, the Prescott Greyhound Agency and finally buying Ace-City Cab to round out his transportation company. He never made much money but he helped all who were in need.
He is survived by his wife Berniece; four sons, Steve, John, Mike and Jim; his brother Joe; sisters Joetta and Charmaine; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at Hillside Community Church of God, 937 Ruth St., Prescott, on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at noon, followed by a luncheon and open house at Prescott Transit offices, 820 E. Sheldon St. in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Good Samaritan Hospice.
