HEMNES, Christopher Allen

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, March 16, 2011 Christopher Allen Hemnes, age 42, passed away at his home Feb. 19, 2011 from cancer. He was born in Mesa, Ariz. on Nov. 7, 1968. He graduated from Globe High School and went on to graduate from Universal Technical Institute as a diesel mechanic. Christopher worked for Gila County at the highway department from 1991 to 2000 at which time he moved to Alabama with his wife and two step-children. He worked until Jan. 10, 2011 when he was diagnosed with cancer. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking the land and fishing the lakes. He is survived by his wife, Janet; step-children, Ashley (Kevin) and Bridgett; three grandchildren, Trent, Savannah, and Alexis; his father, Richard Hemnes; sister, Michelle (John) Visnaw; mother, Trudee (Lynn) O’Leary; and nieces and nephew. He was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him. A memorial service was held in Chelsea, Ala. on March 5, 2011.
