The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ March 18, 2011 Clifford E. Traphagan Sr., 79, died March 1, 2011, in Hannibal Mo., of kidney failure. He was a resident of Hannibal, Mo. for 15 years. He was born April 19, 1931, in Hannibal, Mo. He served his country in the United States Army, retired. He worked for the Arizona State Prison in Florence. He is survived by his daughters: Donna Traphagan of Eagar, Janet Traphagan of Phoenix, Evelyn Sampson of Chandler; sons: Eddie Traphagan of Show Low, and Ronald Traphagan of Apache Junction; estranged wife, Vyra Traphagan of Phoenix; grandchildren: Michael Traphagan of Geneseo, Ill., Brian Traphagan of Eagar, Michelle Jaramillo, of Eagar, Nichole Traphagan of Springerville and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Leroy and Dorthy Traphagan; brother Donald Traphagan; son William Euguene; and grandaughter Tina Marie. Funeral services were held March 7, at Grand View Mortuary in Hannibal, Mo. Arrangements were handled by Grand View Mortuary of Hannibal, Mo.
