The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 2, 1995, p. 2 Alice Coleman Parker of Tucson died July 25 in Carmel, California. She was 88. Mrs. Parker was born January 3, 1907 in Tucson. She attended David and Roskruge Schools and graduated from Ajo High School. In 1942, she married William J. Parker, former chairman of the board and co-owner of Parker Dairy Farm in congress. Mrs. Parker was chair-woman of the board at the time of her death. Mrs. Parker was also a long-time associate of the McClelland family in the Shamrock Foods Company. Mrs. Parker was well-liked for her quick wit and her wonderful sense of humor. Her positive outlook on life was a strength to all. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, the Arizona Chapter 2 Order of the Eastern Star, the Tucson Garden Club, and the University of Arizona Medical Center Auxiliary where she volunteered as a Spanish translator. For many years, she and her family hosted Latin American students as part of the University of Arizona Family for International Friendship. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Bud Schuerman of Sonoma, California; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Sheila Parker of Wickenburg; grandchildren Kathleen and Willie Schuerman, and Meggen, Collin, Mya, Isaac and Zachary Parker; sister-in-law Olive Parker of Northern Ireland; and numerous nieces and nephews in the United States and Northern Ireland. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, William, her parents, Nano and James Queen Coleman, and siblings, Elizabeth Price, Anne Stephens, William Coleman and Jessie Beard. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 3 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church at East University Boulevard and 4th Avenue in Tucson. Memorial contributions may be made to the W.J. and Alice Parker Scholarship at the University of Arizona Foundation.
