The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 23, 1995, p. 2 Mavis M. Lucas of Wickenburg died August 17 in Sun City West. She was 87. Mrs. Lucas was born June 1, 1908 in Paulding, Ohio. She had lived in Arizona for the past 32 years. Mrs. Lucas was a past employee of Wickenburg Dry Cleaners. She loved cats. Survivors include nephew and wife Richard and LaVene Brown of Fort Collins, Colorado; nephew Albert Hutchins of Holgate, Ohio; nieces Diane Bell of Cherry Waters, both of Jerome; and nephew and wife Justin and Linda Waters of Morristown. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lucas, in 1960, and her sister, Violet Pendland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August, 25 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Fr. John Vogt will officiate. Private cremation will follow. Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
