The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 13, 1995, p. 2 Catherine E. Gruden of Wickenburg died September 10 in Peoria. She was 80. Mrs. Gruden was born November 25, 1914 in Yonkers, New York. She had lived in Arizona for 24 years, coming here from New Jersey. Mrs. Gruden was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, George of Wickenburg; daughters Betty Cucci, Regina Yuppa and Catherine Pekaar, all of New Jersey; sons Robert and Joseph Greenleaf, both of New Jersey; brother Edward Glynn of New York; grandchildren Frank Cucci of Virginia, Jill Cucci of New Jersey, Scott Yuppa of New Jersey, Michael Pekaar of California and Edward Pekaar of New Jersey; and three great-grandchildren, all of New Jersey. Visitation and Rosary were held at Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service with funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Graveside committal services and burial were held at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Father John Vogt officiated. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Gruden’s name to a charity of one’s choice. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service handled all the arrangements.
