MILAM, Ola Mae

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, March 23, 2011 Ola Mae Milam, age 89, of Globe passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Hospice Compassus in Lakeside, Ariz. She was born on Dec. 20, 1921, in Fletcher, Okla., the daughter of Mandie A. (Hutchinson) and Tom Falls. She married Lester Milam in 1939, and moved to Arizona in 1941. Ola worked for ICCCO during World War II. After the war she was content being a homemaker and a wife. Ola loved to travel, visiting relatives in Oklahoma, Texas and California. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lester A. Milam, her parents, four sisters, Audry, Myrl, Dora and La Fair and one brother, Cleon Jones. Ola leaves behind in loving memory one daughter, Alta (James) of Show Low, Ariz.; one son, Ben (Jo Ann) of Miami, Ariz.; one sister, Nola Cole of Miami, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held, Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 11 a.m. to noon at Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland St., Globe, Ariz. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. at Globe Cemetery, Hackney Avenue, Globe, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Ola Mae Milam were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Miami.
