The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 20, 1995, p. 2 Matilda Sawvell of Wickenburg, died December 15 in Wickenburg. She was 88. Mrs. Sawvell was born December 11, 1906 in New Rockford, North Dakota. She had lived in Arizona for two years. She was a retired restaurant owner and operator for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She is survived by her son Ronald of Wickenburg; sisters Mildred Espeland, Freda Amoth, Sarah Underwood and Mary Pankowski; brothers Gerald, Alfred, Robert and Fred Hammer; grandchildren John and Robert Sawvell, Callie Hall, and Beth Berlin. Services will be private. Arrangements were handled by Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home.
