Mr. Richardson was born June 18, 1917 in Parke County, Indiana. He was raised in Lafayette and was a lifelong resident of the community. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was an announcer and former farm director at WASK radio for 39 years, retiring in 1982. He also worked at Columbian Park in security. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; daughters Carolyn Arihood of Lafayette, Indiana, Peggy Dexter of Otterbein, Indiana and Judy Hinds of Lafayette, Indiana; sons Duane E. of Arcadia, Indiana and Phillip “Scooter” of Wickenburg; sisters Catherine Frame, Dorothy Hayes and Mildred Fultz, all of Lafayette, Indiana and brother John of Indianapolis.
