Clyde Dale Pewtress, 57, passed away in his sleep on Jan. 9, 2011. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, 4-wheeling, fishing, boating and an avid hunter. An accomplished hairdresser of 34 years, recently prior to his death, he started playing with outdoor photography.
He is survived by his grandchildren five-year-old Rayden Prudence Martza and eight-year-old Adrian Thomas Roth. His children Dusty, 31 (Sport) and Brit, 34, (Squatybody) Pewtress of Tempe, Ariz. Ex-wife Charlean Smedley-Pewtress, four sisters, Thelma Grogan, Judy Broadbent, Susan Jensen, Bonnie Lowe-Smart, one brother Glendon Pewtress and mother Donna (Cobb-Lowe) all of Utah.
Preceded in death by father Glen Pewtress, step-father Robert Lowe and dearly beloved sister, Neva Merritt-Montoya.
A celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 26, at Rotary Beach at the large cabana area from noon-4 p.m. Military Honors, 21-Gun Salute, Taps and folding of the flag will be at 12:30 p.m. Open to anyone who knows Clyde or the family.
