WRAY, John Henry Dr. (PhD.)

Dr. John Henry Wray PhD. 11/9/1926 - 3/20/2011 passed away on the morning of Sunday, March 20, 2011. John was a beloved husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Wray; his children, Lisa and Greg and granddaughter, Michelle. He is a World War II Navy veteran that graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served on six U.S. vessels in Southeast Asia. After leaving the Navy he worked with the United Nations and helped to set up the Physics Department at the University of Brasilia in South America. John also worked in La Jolla, California as a nuclear engineer and eventually retired teaching physics at the University of Costa Rica in Central America. The Viewing will be on Friday, March 25, 2011 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and the Service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Southern AZ Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 1300 S. Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Society.
