The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 1, 1995, p. 2 Ruth Marie Van Antwerp, of Wickenburg, died October 25 in Wickenburg. She was 74. Ms. Van Antwerp was born June 9, 1921 in Rathbun, Iowa. She had lived in Arizona for 21 years, coming here from Iowa. Mrs. Van Antwerp married E. G. “Joe” Van Antwerp April 7, 1949. Shortly after their marriage, both received Jesus Christ as their Savior. Mr. and Mrs. Van Antwerp were life partners in every aspect of their life together. She helped him build their home, work the farm, and build a large machine shed. There was nothing they did not do together as partners. Mrs. Van Antwerp loved horses, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed her volunteer work at the Wise Owl Senior Center, where she earned her 2,000 hour pin. Mrs. Van Antwerp is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joe of Wickenburg; daughter Margaret Ann of Circle City; sisters Tina Cook of Chehalis, Washington and Margaret Grenko of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother James Mitchell of Shawnee, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions made by made in Mrs. Van Antwerp’s name to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral services have been held. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service handled all the arrangements.
