Mark S. Dickey, of Prescott, died October 27 in Prescott. He was 43. Mr. Dickey was born February 13, 1952 in Davenport, Iowa. He moved to Yarnell to be near his father in September 1994 from Cleveland.
Mr. Dickey graduated from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California with a degree in psychology. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 79 in Yarnell and the Disabled American Veterans in Cleveland, Ohio.
He graduated from Glendale High School in 1970. He played varsity football and was a member of the high school rodeo teams as their best bull rider.
He is survived by his father, H. “Bill” Dickey of Yarnell; son Joe Dickey of Diamon, Ohio; sisters Linda Perry and Pamela Jones, both of Phoenix; and brother Reid Dickey of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his mother Jane Dickey and brother, Greg Dickey.
Military memorial services will be held Friday, November 3 at 2 p.m. in the West Rotunda at the V.A. National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. Commander Bill Dickey and American Legion Post No. 79 of Yarnell will officiate.
