Rev. C. Lee Pancoast Sr., of Joplin, Missouri and formerly of Wickenburg, died November 20 in Joplin. He was 95. Mr. Pancoast was born September 28, 1900 in Louisburg, Kansas.
Mr. Pancoast had lived in Joplin since 1985, moving there from Wickenburg. For 40 years he was a minister for the Pentecostal Church of God in Arizona and Missouri. On September 7, 1927 he married Isabel Gilruth in Los Angeles, California.
Survivors include his son Charles L. Jr. of Fort Smith, Arkansas; daughter Leila Pancoast of Joplin, Missouri; adopted daughter Joyce Day of Joplin, Missouri; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1985 and his parents Kester C. and Joanna Lee.
Interment will be Wednesday, November 29 (today) in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Rev. James Carmin will officiate.
