The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 20, 1995, p. 2 Marjorie Hostetler Taliaferro, of Wickenburg died December 13 at her home in Wickenburg after a very short battle with cancer of the liver. She was 76. Mrs. Taliaferro was born January 24, 1919 in Davenport, Iowa. She had lived in Arizona for 11 years, coming here from Kentucky. She had wintered in Wickenburg since 1950 before moving here permanently with her late husband of 38 years, W. Richard Taliaferro. They had owned and operated Mt. Pleasant Gardens, a landscape/nursery business in northern Kentucky. In Wickenburg, she was twice past President of Las Senoras De Socorro of the Desert Caballeros Western Museum; a charter member of P.E.O. Chapter DR of Wickenburg; a member of the Wickenburg Country Club and Ladies Bridge Group, Nature Conservancy, Wickenburg Lioness club, Wickenburg Community Hospital Auxiliary and gift shop manager, Phoenix Needlework Guild, and the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Dr. Edwin A. Owen of Sun City West; and cousins Edna and Jim Hostetler, and Helen Petersen, all of Wickenburg. Services will be private with burial out of state. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Taliaferro’s name to In Home Health Hospice, 2019 W. Wickenburg Way, Wickenburg, AZ 85390. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service handled all arrangements.
