Neal Arthur Garman, of Wickenburg and former resident of Crook County, Wyoming died December 7 in Tucson following a cancer illness. He was 62. Mr. Garman was born July 4, 1933 in Cabin Creek, near Carlile, Wyoming.
Mr. Garman was raised on the family homestead. He joined the Army in 1953 and served for two years. He was married to Mary Seiger on August 5, 1955. They raised four children; Jeff, Wayne, Christina and Ross.
He went into the ranching business in 1958 and continued to ranch until moving to Wickenburg in 1984. He also owned and operated Specialty Dozer Service for many years. He was elected to the Crook County Board of Commissioners in 1970 serving a four year term. In 1977 he went into law enforcement in Crook County, working for the Sundance Police Department and Crook County Sheriff’s Department until 1980.
Mr. Garman enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 12 of Wickenburg and the Elks.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Christina and Stephen Wood; sons and daughters-in-law Jeff and DeeLynn, Wayne and Dixie and Ross and Pamela, all of Sundance. Wyoming; eight grandchildren; sisters Martha Reimer of Gillette, Wyoming and Alice Mills of Sundance; brother John of Alzada, Montana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Newell A. and Frances (Blackman) and brother, Harry Lee.
Memorial services have been held with interment in the Moorcroft, Wyoming Cemetery.

A memorial service for Neal Arthur Garman of Wickenburg, who died Dec. 7 in Tucson, is scheduled Saturday, Jan. 6 at the American Legion Post No. 12 in Wickenburg. The service begins at 1 p.m.
Mr. Garman, 62, was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion in Wickenburg.
Mr. Garman was the owner and operator of Neal's Dial-A-Ride in Wickenburg.
Chaplain Charlie Curtis will officiate at the memorial service.
Interment has been held in the Moorcroft, Wyo., Cemetery.
