The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 27, 1995, p. 2 George E. Hornbeck, of Yarnell, died December 20 in Yarnell. He was 82. Mr. Hornbeck was born February 15, 1913 in Russellville, Arkansas. He had lived in Arizona for six years, coming here from Nevada. Mr. Hornbeck was a machinist for the railroad. He loved and was an avid fisherman. He and his wife, Anne, enjoyed hunting and fishing together. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wickenburg. He is survived by his daughters Barbara Locke of Anchorage, Alaska and Wanda Fay of Mesquite, Nevada; son George Jr. of Eugene, Oregon; step-son John R. Haugh of Yakutat, Alaska; sister Betty Miller of Little Rock, Arkansas; brothers J. H. Broadway of Bebe, Arkansas and Richard S. Broadway of Germany; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Jean Roach, in 1980 and his wife, Anne, in 1993. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 27 (today) at 2 p.m. at Frey funeral Home and Cremation Service with burial to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. John Worley will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Hornbeck’s name to the Arizona Humane Society, P. O. B ox 9231, Phoenix, AZ 85068.
