The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 1, 1998, p. 14 Joseph F. Bittlingmeyer, Sr. of Wickenburg died March 27 in Wickenburg. He was 55. Mr. Bittlingmeyer was born March 2, 1943 in New York, New York. He had lived in Arizona for the past seven years, coming from Florida. Mr. Bittlingmeyer enjoyed woodworking, puzzles, gardening and computers. He also was very skilled mechanically. He volunteered with the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce for the Bluegrass and Gold Rush Festivals. Survivors include his wife Marie of Wickenburg; mother Ann Bittlingmeyer of Florida; and brothers, Jack Bittlingmeyer of Florida; and Michael Bittlingmeyer of New York. He was preceded in death by his son Joey Bittlingmeyer, Jr. of Wickenburg. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3 at Frey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery with Fr. John Vogt officiating. Contributions may be made in Mr. Bittlingmeyer’s name to the American Heart Association, Arizona Affiliate, 2929 S. 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282-3145. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
