The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 7, 1998, p. 2 & p. 4 Donald E. Rickett of Port Orchard, Washington and a winter resident of Wickenburg died January 2 in Peoria. He was 73. Mr. Rickett was born May 12, 1924 in Tacoma, Washington. He had lived in Arizona for the past three months. Mr. Rickett was a graduate of Stadium High School in Tacoma, Washington. He was in the banking business for 40 years and served as the president of the Kitsap Bank in Port Orchard, Washington for the last 15 years. Mr. Rickett was a member of the Port Orchard Methodist Church and the Port Orchard Yacht Club. He also was the Past President of the Kiwanis in Port Orchard. Survivors include his wife, Marian Rickett of Port Orchard, Washington; daughters Marianne Wilsey of Auburn, Washington and Susan Osgood of Port Orchard; sons Alan Rickett of Port Orchard and Ronald Rickett of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren Nikki Johnson of Kent, Washington, Ken Estep of Federal Way, Washington, Steve Osgood of Bellingham Washington, Karen Osgood of North Bend, Washington and Katelyn Wilsey of Auburn; great-grandchildren Jessica and Danielle Johnson; and nieces and nephews Ann Rickett and Peter Rickett. Mr. Rickett was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Mattie Rickett, and his brother, Howard W. Rickett. Services will be held at a later date in Port Orchard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Rickett’s name to Sun Health Hospice, 12740 N. Plaza Del Rio Blvd., Peoria, AZ 85381. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
