The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Tuesday, March 22, 2011 George Francis Casey, 84, died on Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Camp Verde. George was born on February 28, 1927 in Tiltensville, Ohio to David and Helen Casey. He came from a family of six brothers and one sister. He and his wife, Alice, moved to Camp Verde in 1989. George served in the navy in World War II and later worked as a photo lithographer for Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, California. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing bass fiddle with many bands. He also once had a small airplane and enjoyed flying. George is survived by his wife Alice of 54 years of marriage and six children: Bruce Julson (wife, Kitty), Kathleen Green (husband, Lari Spire), Ken Casey (partner, Deb Delong), Cathy Shook, Christine Casey and Laura Wattier.
