HOPPER, Dorothy


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 4, 1998, p. 2 Dorothy (Drach) Hopper, a longtime resident of the Salome-Wenden area, died January 28. She was 84. Mrs. Hopper was born November 19, 1913 in Morley, Iowa. She had lived in Arizona for 38 years. She and her first husband, Paul Drach, ran a café in Salome for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Kurth of Salome; a son, Richard Drach of Newark, Delaware; a step-daughter, Lorna Hartley of Pueblo, Colorado; a sister, Bonnie (Martin) Burgess of Salome; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul, in 1979; her second husband, Jim Hopper in 1995; and a brother, Gerald Lang. Memorial services will be at 2:30p.m. Saturday, February 7 at the Wenden Bible Church in Wenden, where Mrs. Hopper was a longtime member.
