Leo P. DeWulf of Wickenburg died March 17 in Wickenburg. He was 91. Mr. DeWulf was born September 19, 1906 in Spaulding, Nebraska. He had lived in Arizona for the past 69 years.
Leo entered pharmacy school at the University of Denver after graduating from the Spaulding Academy. Moving from Nebraska in 1929, Leo settled in Prescott. The young pharmacist went right to work at Rables Pharmacy. Life in Prescott soon found Leo dancing with the Smokis and becoming a family man after marrying native equestrian Vivian Stechhan. By 1934 they had two children. By the late 1930’s Leo had moved his family to Phoenix where he continued his pharmaceutical profession, retiring in 1971.
He spent 40 years serving the public in his profession. As age set in, the DeWulfs were brought to Wickenburg two years ago to live and be cared for by their son. Nemo, as many may know you, will be loved and missed by all who knew you and loved you.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian H. of Wickenburg; daughter Leone P. Kisseberth of Phoenix; son Charles W. DeWulf of Wickenburg; grandchildren Mark and Christine Kisseberth of Phoenix and Dimitri DeWulf of North Carolina; and one great-grandchild, Nichole Sailing of North Carolina.
