PRUETT, Harold


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 25, 1998, p. 17 Harold Pruett of Yarnell died March 20 in Tucson after a short illness. He was 73. Mr. Pruett was born April; 12, 1924 in Hayden, Arizona. Mr. Pruett was born in his own home in the mining town of Hayden and was a native of Arizona, retiring to Yarnell. Mr. Pruett graduated from Phoenix Union High School. He worked for 43 years at Brunswig Drug in Phoenix as a shipping clerk. He also assisted his son with the Boy Scouts and was a member of the American Legion in Yarnell. Mr. Pruett enjoyed spending time with his daughter-in-law, Gwen, especially going to yard sales. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Rose Marie, of Yarnell; daughter Linda Murillo of Mesa; son and daughter-in-law Donald and Gwendolyn Pruett of Phoenix; and grandchildren Jon, Crispin and Adam Murillo of Mesa, and Mathew and Brennan Pruett of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Pruett. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at Frey Funeral Home. Pastor Tom Thurnbaugh will officiate. Burial will follow in the Genung Memorial Park Cemetery in Peeples Valley. Contributions may be made in Mr. Pruett’s name to the American Cancer Society, Arizona Division, Wickenburg Unit, P. O. Box 1975, Wickenburg, AZ 85358. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
