The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 27, 1998, p. 14 William Robert Hammerstrom, formerly of Wickenburg, died May 18 in Casa Grande. He was 46. Mr. Hammerstrom was born March 2, 1952 in Schenentady, New York. He had most recently resided in Casa Grande. Mr. Hammerstrom’s family had lived in Wickenburg in the 1960s and his father Sam was the mayor of Wickenburg for several years. Survivors include his wife Janet, daughter Kathleen and son Eric, all of Casa Grande; sisters Patricia Helm and Carla Carter, both of Phoenix; brother, John Hammerstrom of Travares, Florida; and mother Virginia Hammerstrom of Phoenix. Services were held Thursday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel, 1575 East Florence Blvd., in Casa Grande. Pastor David Landery officiated. Bill’s life was a demonstration of his faith and trust in the Lord, Jesus Christ. His continued desire was that his family be a testimony of the truth and power of God’s Word today.
