Billie Dee Young of Wickenburg died June 6 in Show Low, Arizona. She was 71. Mrs. Young was born August 20, 1926 in Calvin, Oklahoma. She had lived in Arizona for 66 years.
Mrs. Young was very involved in community services. She was past president of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce and the Soroptimist.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Jeannie and Tommy Coulter of Roll, Arizona and Diane and Steve Hulcy of Lancaster, California; son Harold B. Young of Seattle, Washington; sisters Virginia Tague of Chino Valley, Arizona and Norma Romero of Wellton, Arizona; brothers George Seale of Farmington, New Mexico and John Seale of Arleta, California; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, G. Wayne Young.
A first visitation is scheduled for today (Wednesday, July 10) from 4-6 p.m. at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel. A second visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11 at the Johnson Mortuary in Yuma. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11 at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma, with Pastor Charles Teague officiating. Interment will be at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Yuma.
