Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from March 27 to April 3, 2011 - Warren Mitchell, age 89, a 30-year resident of Bullhead City, passed away on, Thursday, March 24, 2011 due to cancer in Bullhead City. Warren, a retired Army Veteran, was born January 17, 1922, in Kiowa, Okla. He served during WWII with the 29th Infantry division, 175th Regiment, 2nd Battalion, E Company. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 60 and the VFW. Warren enjoyed fishing, sharing stories, playing Zebko (card game), gardening and his westerns. He enjoyed being the best grandpa "G" ever. He always lived his life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Wanda; and his daughter Sharon Fry. He is survived by his sister, Norma Jean Ward, of Hemet, Calif.; three loving daughters, Freda Anestasi of Las Vegas, Nev., Donna Scott of Aurora, Colo., and Janet Smith of Bullhead City, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who brought great joy to all his family and will be truly missed. He will live in our hearts forever. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 S. Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, Ariz.
